Funerals

Home Up Funeral Email Plan

Funerals are a time of giving someone precious to us, back to the God who made them. We do encourage families who have a loved one who is near death to notify the church so that we come and pray with the person dying and lend our support to the family

Funerals for Christians are first and foremost a reminder that because Jesus rose from the dead, we too live in hope of the resurrection. While they are times of grief they are also a time of celebrating the amazing love and power of God, the hope we have of a future eternal life, and a time of thankfulness for the persons life.  To help you think through your loved one's service please review the following:  "Funeral Planning".

You may submit planning information via email by clicking on the Funeral Planning Sheet link above.

We also want to urge those who have lost loved ones to stay in close contact with the pastor and other church members. We want to support you in your time of loss.

Cemetery    Christ Church owns a part of the cemetery on Meadow and Saunders. Our section is near the corner of Saunders and meadow.  In 1894, the Ladies Guild of Christ Church Episcopal was assigned a plot in City Cemetery. Three years later, on March 10, 1897, Christ Church Episcopal was deeded a plot located near the Main gate of the City Cemetery along Meadow Avenue. This deed was granted to Reverend J. Ward, rector of Christ Church Episcopal, for the Bishop and Standing Committee of the Missionary District of Western, Texas.

Plots are available to Parish Members. For more information please call the church office at (956) 723-5714.
