Marriage is the first recorded sacrament in the bible. God gave the man, Adam, and the woman, Eve, to one another at the beginning of Creation. As a church we affirm the goodness of marriage, and want to support couples in their decision to get married.  We have an extensive packet, Planning a Wedding, that outlines most of the details of marriage preparation and wedding services at Christ Church. We use Prepare Enrich as the primary basis for pre-marriage preparation. Once you fill out the application we will get you started on that process.

If you are engaged and planning to get married at Christ Church, please call us at 956-723-5714 to check on the date and quickly fill out the wedding application online. Please give us at least 3 months notice to make sure we have time to complete the pre-marriage process.

Second Marriages: We know that sometimes marriages fail. If you are seeking information about marriage following a divorce, please contact the pastor for more information. The process is similar, but involves a couple of additional steps and requires that the pastor get permission from the Bishop to perform the wedding.

The Wedding Service: We always use the service from the Book of Common Prayer. If we do a bilingual wedding we print the service in Spanish and English in the program. Help for married people: In addition we at Christ Church take seriously the need to help couples be faithful to their marriage vows. All marriages have times of difficulty. In such times, please don't hesitate to contact the pastor.
